See why candidates and your employees control your content, not you!

The content shift
Social media has changed the concept of content FOREVER! Not what the content is (although with Twitter that is debatable), but who creates it and more importantly how/where is is posted and by whom. Companies no longer control their brands – people perception of a brand and what they see/read – wherever that may be is, is the reality.
This is whole subject is going to be explained by a thought leader in this area of social media, Steve Ehrlich – the Global VP, Client Development at aia Worldwide – at the upcoming Social Media In Recruitment Conference on the 19th April in London.

Here is a short video explaining where Steve is coming from and what he will be covering in his Keynote on the 19th. [You might notice a quote from him I used in a slide above from my recent presentation in Oslo!]

This is one of the social media events that I make sure I attend every year. This isn't a sales pitch, sponsored post or anything like that – it is simply me telling you about a consistently excellent social media conference that is really worth attending.

Social media in recruitment 2012This is the 4th year of the conference which last year attracted over 250 people. One of the things I really like about this conference, is that Mike Taylor (organiser) always invites back  attendees from the previous year, to share their experiences of what they learnt from attending the conference and how they then used social media themselves in their business. Each year the examples get better and better. This year it is Katrina Collier from Winning Impress to share her experiences. Mike has kindly added a bonus for my blog readers. If you quote SIRONA in the discount code box, it will give you a nice little discount off the ticket price.

If you are attending and we haven't met yet, let me know and it would be good to have a coffee at some time during the day on the 19th.
