Fishing and recruitment - closer than you think!!

Ever thought how the sport of fishing could be compared to recruiting?  The thing is, recruitment is alot like fishing, and here's why. When you go on a fishing trip, the first thing you have to make a decision on is what type of fish you are trying to catch. Sounds obvious, but knowing what you want to catch dictates where you go fishing, what type of equipment you will need and what bait you will use.

Now convert this to recruitment. Alot of recruiters will be fishing for sharks in a freshwater lake, using a fly fishing rod and a float. They are going after the wrong people, looking for them in the wrong places and using the wrong approach!! They then wonder why they can't catch the people they want!

The problem is that there are way too many 'fishing recruiters' out there, giving us skilled recruiters a bad name!!
