Correct skills + personality + team fit?.......yes it is possible!
Recruiting the right skill set into existing teams can be hard enough, but then trying to make judgment calls on their personality and character fit as well, sometimes makes it nigh on impossible. And then there is no way of actually gauging how the introduction of a new team member can effect the team's productivity and profitability.
Through LinkedIn, I came across a relatively new tool to the marketplace that works on predicting relationship fit and the potential outcomes.
The product called 4G, from the company called Four Groups works on the basis of being able to predict team fit and relationships between candidates and existing team members that can make the difference between a successful hire and a high performing team or a costly mistake. This information assists in optimising hiring decisions, reduces the potential for bad decisions and builds high performing teams.
I have not yet used this product yet in a real recruiting environment, but according to Bruce Lewin, they are already using it successfully with a number of financial services clients and are looking to expand it further.
