2. Ignore it completely and hope it goes away?
3. Know it is there but just won't listen or acknowledge it?
4. Happy, because you KNOW the potential it has for you and your company?

Many recruiters and recruitment owners have put up their 'firewalls' and their 'blast shields' to try and hide and deflect social media away from them. Madness!

Social media is here to stay, and is most definitely not going anywhere soon. The quicker you accept that and learn to use social media as part of your everyday recruiting life, the quicker you will benefit from it from some of these things you can use social media for in recruitment:

• Engaging
• Communicating
• Informing
• Learning
• Recruiting
