Saying thank you the social media way
Over the course of the last 7 days I have had a week when a number of my recent blog posts have proved to be very popular on Twitter, with many people sharing them around via RT’s (ReTweets for the unitiated). Every time they get shared, a potential new audience opens up and of course new people end up reading this blog, which of course I really appreciate
Usually during the course of the week I try and get around to thanking people for the sharing my blog posts with their audiences. But this week I wanted to be a little different.
Some of you may have heard about this new video product on Twitter called Vine - if you haven’t it produces a 6 second looped video, which of course you then share on Twitter. So I thought for my first try of it I would use it to say thanks to all the RT’ers this week.
These are the posts that have had the Twitter love from all the people in this short video above - so thanks again to you.
- How HR have responded to social recruiting. Are you one of these?
- “What do we tweet, post, share, write and update then?” say Recruiters
- Park the arrogance and ego and take another look at your candidate attraction
- Are you just doing social or are you being social in your social recruiting?
When was the last time you did something a little different to say thank to people within the workplace? We all come into contact with people all the time - and while the word ‘thank-you’ is free, it can be so powerful in our industry. Candidates are like elephants - they have very long memories!
Go on, I dare you, do something different and say thank you one extra
