Social Media Content For Recruitment Workshops - Q1 2013
[Please note that this idea needs your input to happen]
Following on from last months presentation at the UK Recruiter 2012 Conference (see a short snippet below), on using social media to win new business, I have started to get enquiries from recruiters (and some in-house recruiters after my blog about where I share my content), about when my next content workshop's were. Nice to be in demand!
I didn't have any planned but after more enquiries I am now looking at running some workshops in Q1 next year >> but only if enough of you register an interest in attending them!!
Here is some of the video that started all the enquiries (the full presentation will be available to my blog subscribers only, soon)

It has made me realise that there may well be an opportunity for me to hold a series of workshops in the first quarter next year. When I do social media training for recruiters, there is one area of the whole social piece that continually causes concern for them, and that is the word content. People like me talk about the power of content - whether it is self generated or other people's - but it is an area that recruiters either don't get or refuse to contemplate!
For someone who generates a lot of their business income via the social channels, I find it amazing that more recruiters don't embrace the power of content to drive traffic - new clients and new candidates - to their own websites, LinkedIn Company Pages, Facebook Pages, Google + Pages etc.
It is, after all, such a powerful way of demonstrating knowledge, expertise and authority; getting great organic SEO traffic to your websites AND delivering relevant candidates and clients.
With such a apathetic response to it, I did what I like doing - I asked loads of questions! After the conference I started to see some answers. Recruiters recruit. Simple. They are not marketers (well not many), they are not social media skilled and many are still being managed by strict 'activity based KPI's'
The answers I received were straight forward >> "we know we need to do all this, but we don't know where to start, what content to use, where to find it and how put it in the right places." << In other words, HELP!
So new for 2013, and for the first time I am planning to run a series of open workshops for recruiters (agency and in-house), loosely titled, How To Find, Use and Maximise Social Media Content For Recruitment. I will plan to look at:
Remember, this is focused purely on recruitment, and driving candidates and clients in your direction!
Now comes the crunch - this is only going to take place if enough of you show an interest in attending these workshops. You could call this crowdsourced training.
So time for you to get involved.
Are you interested in learning how to use social media content effectively for recruitment purposes then?
If the answer is YES (don't worry this is no obligation to attend, it just gives me an idea of demand at this stage) >> simply click here and press send - nothing else is needed. I will then update you soon.
As I said above I CANNOT DO THESE WITHOUT YOU - as long as there is enough interest we will go ahead and shedule dates and locations early in 2013.
I will of course do some webinars for people too far away to travel. More on those next year.
If any companies wish to talk to me about sponsorship of this workshop series or webinars, I would of course be happy to listen
